NEIGHBORHOOD LEAP was built for a theater production company called Amphibian Stage, based in Fort Worth. Before contacting The DevHouse Agency, Amphibian Stage had been working for several months with a European based company. Communication on progress between the two had been going poorly. Two weeks before launch, Amphibian Stage discovered the app that they had been told was almost finished didn't actually exist. They reached out to DevHouse, scrambling for a way to have something to show during their impending launch events.
Client Problems and Challenges
-
Two week development timeline.
-
Low budget due to the failings of a previous studio.
-
20 unique location based placements, each with commissioned artwork from local artists
My Solutions
-
Simplify AR functionality. Instead of image detection or plane detection, the user must align the environment with an image on their screen.
-
Build client confidence by regularly working on location in Fort Worth.
-
Work closely and openly with Amphibian stage and each commissioned artist to carry out the creative vision for each placement.
