Life Cycle of a Building is a VR game for Meta Quest 2 created as a total conversion of an internal CBRE onboarding document

Responsibilities​

  • Interpret the onboarding document and create a design document for a game that teaches the same information, while adhering to a one month development time frame.

  • Create an asset list for UI assets and 3D models.

  • Code systems for UI interaction and gameplay.

  • Implement a procedural physics driven interaction system.

  • Profile and optimize the application for Quest 2.

Client Problems and Challenges​

  • The original onboarding document is long winded, and lacks engaging content.

  • New employees were struggling to retain the document's information.

  • Users shouldn't be expected to have prior VR experience.

My Solutions​​

  • Organize and simplify the document's information.

  • Design a simple and intuitive gameplay loop that keeps users engaged.

  • Implement new VR user best practices such as limited player movement and simple interactions.​
